Dental Nurse

About the role

Canan Dental Clinic is seeking a full‑time Dental Nurse to join its team in Ikeja, Lagos State. You will work on‑site supporting dentists and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist dentists during clinical procedures and patient examinations.
• Prepare, set up and maintain treatment rooms.
• Sterilize, organize and manage dental instruments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Apply infection‑control and safety protocols consistently.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide post‑treatment instructions.
• Help create a calm and reassuring atmosphere for all visitors.

Required profile

• Recognized dental nursing qualification or equivalent, with current registration where applicable.
• Strong clinical support skills in dentistry.
• Knowledge of infection control and decontamination procedures.
• Understanding of orthodontics and ability to assist with orthodontic treatments.
• Attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to patient safety.
• Effective communication and a patient‑centered approach.
• Previous experience in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is an advantage.
