Demand Planner – Forecasting & Inventory Management

About the role

The Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts for Sika's product offerings. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, the role ensures forecasts align with business objectives, optimise inventory levels and support product availability and customer service performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop short‑, medium‑ and long‑term demand forecasts for all product categories using historical sales, project pipelines and market intelligence.
• Monitor forecast performance, identify variances and recommend corrective actions to improve accuracy.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Finance to gather market insights and align forecasts with business plans.
• Support the S&OP process by providing accurate demand projections and analysis.
• Work with Production, Procurement and Logistics to translate demand plans into effective supply and inventory plans.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to reduce stock‑outs, excess inventory, slow‑moving stock and obsolescence.

Required profile

• BSc/HND in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
• Advanced use of the MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
