About the role

AltSchool Africa is seeking a seasoned Data Engineering professional to join our remote teaching team. You will design and deliver hands‑on curriculum that equips African talent with the skills needed to launch successful tech careers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and teach comprehensive modules covering data storage, processing, and analytics.
• Guide students through real‑world projects involving batch and streaming pipelines.
• Assess learner progress, provide feedback, and adapt content to varying skill levels.
• Collaborate with curriculum designers to keep course material up‑to‑date with industry trends.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in data engineering, preferably in a production environment.
• Strong passion for education and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a fully remote setting.
