Data Collector for Gender Assessment Project (NELEX)

About the role

Join a short‑term gender assessment project coordinated through the National Electronic Labour Exchange (NELEX). The role involves field data collection across selected LGAs, using electronic tools to gather reliable information for development partners.

Key responsibilities

• Administer questionnaire‑based surveys in assigned LGAs using electronic tools (ODK, Kobo Collect, SurveyCTO) or paper.
• Collect, verify and transmit gender assessment data promptly to supervisors, adhering to data‑collection protocols.
• Maintain good relations with local stakeholders, including government officials, health facility staff and community members.
• Report any data quality issues and support corrective actions.
• Attend all required training sessions and be available for the full project duration, traveling to health facilities as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in a relevant field.
• Minimum 6 months experience in public health, humanitarian or development data collection using mobile applications.
• Familiarity with the terrain and language of the target state is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic data‑collection platforms such as ODK, Kobo Collect and SurveyCTO.
• Experience with computer‑assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) and Health Management Information Systems.
