Cyber Security Consultant

About the role

ProtocolClear is seeking a senior‑level Cyber Security Consultant to join its Lagos delivery team. You will work directly with regulated‑industry clients, performing security architecture reviews, cloud assessments, risk analyses, and compliance engagements while collaborating with the privacy and compliance consultant.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security architecture reviews and propose concrete remediation.
• Perform cloud security assessments covering configuration, identity & access, network, and data protection.
• Run risk assessments and translate findings into prioritized, business‑aware remediation plans.
• Lead compliance engagements for frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800‑53, NIST 800‑171, CMMC, NYDFS, and HIPAA.
• Produce clear findings, map gaps to specific framework controls, and present recommendations to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Support internal security initiatives when not engaged on client projects.

Required profile

• Hands‑on security and GRC delivery experience with a client‑facing focus.
• Professional‑level security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer) verified before hire.
• Ability to produce evidence‑based, audit‑ready documentation.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical findings in plain language.
