Credit & Finance Executive

About the role

The Credit & Finance Executive will drive new business opportunities, manage loan portfolios and assess credit risk for our financial services operations in Abuja. This role combines business development, client relationship management and rigorous credit analysis to support the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
• Generate leads and acquire clients for loan and investment products.
• Implement business development and marketing strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders.
• Assess creditworthiness of potential clients and recommend appropriate credit facilities.
• Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals.
• Monitor loan portfolio performance, ensure timely repayments and minimise defaults.
• Research emerging market trends, new markets, products and partnership opportunities.
• Apply sound credit judgment to keep non‑performing loans at a minimum.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development and credit management within the financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of credit analysis, risk assessment and financial products.
• Proven track record of meeting business development targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Analytical mindset with data‑driven decision‑making skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
