Credit and Marketing Officer

About the role

The Credit and Marketing Officer will drive business development for SME lending while ensuring a healthy loan portfolio. This role blends market outreach, credit assessment and portfolio monitoring to support Growth Boosters' growth in the finance sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective SME borrowers through direct outreach, referrals, networking, associations and digital channels.
• Promote lending products, explain loan requirements, processes and terms to prospects.
• Conduct preliminary credit assessments, review financial records, bank statements and credit reports.
• Collaborate with Credit and Operations teams throughout the loan application and approval process.
• Monitor assigned loan accounts, maintain communication with borrowers and support timely repayments.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, applications, customer interactions and portfolio performance.
• Conduct market research to uncover new SME segments and develop targeted acquisition initiatives.
• Track marketing results, provide insights to management and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in SME‑focused marketing, preferably within tech‑driven lending or fintech.
• Proven ability to identify creditworthy SME borrowers and manage a healthy loan portfolio.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Banking or a related field.
• Professional certifications in Credit Management, Microfinance or Banking are a plus.
