Copywriter – Mobile Banking & Fintech

About the role

FairMoney is building the leading mobile banking and POS platform for emerging markets in Africa. As a Copywriter, you will craft clear, engaging, and user‑focused copy that makes complex financial products feel simple and trustworthy for Nigerian consumers.

Key responsibilities

• Write concise, compelling copy for the mobile app, website, CRM campaigns, social media, product interfaces, and marketing collateral.
• Translate technical financial concepts into relatable messaging that resonates with diverse customer segments.
• Develop campaign concepts, headlines, taglines, scripts, and calls‑to‑action that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention.
• Collaborate with Product, Growth, Design, Customer Experience, and Marketing teams to launch high‑impact campaigns and product releases.
• Edit and proofread all copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, brand tone, and regulatory compliance.
• Stay informed on customer insights, market trends, and competitor messaging to continuously improve communication effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian consumer behavior and cultural nuances.
• Excellent written English with a knack for simplifying complex ideas.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
