Control System Engineer (DCS, SIS, PLC)

About the role

INTECH Process Automation is looking for a seasoned Control System Engineer to join its Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The engineer provides engineering, troubleshooting, maintenance and modification support for DCS, ESD/SIS and PLC systems in the assigned facilities, ensuring high availability, reliability and integrity of Schneider DCS/SIS platforms (Foxboro and Triconex) and Rockwell PLCs, while keeping configuration control and approved software baselines.

Key responsibilities

• Site work: supervise installations, run commissioning and startup activities, conduct site surveys and integrate automation solutions with project teams.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, perform routine maintenance and repairs, and give on-site and remote technical support.
• Design and implement hardware for specialized control systems (DCS, SIS, FGS) and understand major industrial standards and instrumentation principles.
• Gather information from customer specifications such as functional requirements, P&IDs, C&Es, drawings and narratives.
• Maintain service records, manuals and documentation, and work with the technical writing team.
• Identify process improvements and work with sales, engineering and project management teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or comparable facilities, including at least 5 years with Schneider DCS/SIS platforms.
• Advanced experience in Schneider DeltaV and SIS, and in Rockwell PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix).
• Proven ability to coordinate with OEM technical support and guide engineers and technicians.
• OEM platform training and certification highly desirable; FPSO/offshore experience preferred.

• DCS/SIS/PLC logic, graphics, alarms, interlocks, cause-and-effect and third-party interfaces.
• System backup/restore, disaster recovery, configuration and software baseline management.
• FAT/SAT, commissioning, loop checking, functional testing and controlled modifications.
• CMMS, technical documentation and maintenance reporting.
