About the role
The African Food Network is seeking a dedicated Content Manager to lead its food heritage documentation platform. You will own the recipe archive, coordinate contributor networks, and ensure high‑quality editorial output that celebrates African cuisine.
Key responsibilities
- Research, write, and publish original recipes covering the full breadth of African cuisine.
- Maintain and grow the AFN recipe archive, ensuring accuracy, cultural authenticity, and readability.
- Build and update the chef and restaurant directories on the platform.
- Recruit, onboard, and manage a network of contributors (chefs, home cooks, food writers) across Nigeria and the continent.
- Oversee quality‑control workflows for all public recipe submissions.
- Plan and manage the AFN website content calendar, producing SEO‑optimized editorial pieces.
Required profile
- Strong research abilities and disciplined writing style.
- Passion for African food culture and its documentation.
- Experience managing contributor communities or editorial workflows.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
