Content and Social Media Officer

About the role

Ascentech is looking for a creative and proactive Content and Social Media Officer to lead its digital presence. You will be responsible for crafting engaging content, growing the online community, and supporting marketing initiatives across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Ascentech’s social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and other relevant platforms.
• Create, schedule and publish graphics, videos and written posts that reflect the brand voice.
• Develop and execute social media strategies to boost brand awareness and audience engagement.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries, comments and messages in a professional manner.
• Monitor trends, competitor activity and emerging digital marketing opportunities.
• Track, analyse and report on performance metrics regularly.
• Collaborate with internal teams to promote products, campaigns and company initiatives.
• Build and nurture an active online community by engaging with followers and stakeholders.
• Ensure all content aligns with Ascentech’s marketing objectives and brand guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing (approximately 2 years).
• Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X).
• Experience with content creation tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of social media analytics and performance tracking tools.
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Competitive monthly salary ranging from NGN 70,000 to NGN 150,000, with a base of NGN 122,000+ depending on experience.
