Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon – Warri, Port Harcourt, Ughelli

About the role

This full‑time hybrid position is based in Warri, Nigeria, with the possibility of remote work for teleconsultations, documentation and virtual meetings. As a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon you will deliver specialist assessment, diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal conditions, including trauma, degenerative disorders and sports injuries.

Key responsibilities

• Perform orthopaedic surgeries and oversee pre‑ and post‑operative care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to clinical audits and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior clinicians and participate in patient education and community health programmes.
• Work with client organisations to align clinical services with broader healthcare performance goals.

Required profile

• Advanced clinical expertise in orthopaedic surgery, including trauma, joint replacement and arthroscopy.
• Strong diagnostic and decision‑making abilities with proficiency in interpreting imaging and investigative results.
• Proven ability to deliver patient‑centred care, obtain informed consent and communicate effectively.
• Experience collaborating with anaesthesiologists, physiotherapists, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Commitment to clinical governance, evidence‑based guidelines and patient safety standards.
