Conference and Webinar Producer

About the role

The Conference and Webinar Producer will lead the end‑to‑end production of high‑impact conferences and webinars, focusing on speaker acquisition, market research and project management to deliver engaging events for industry leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full production cycle of conferences and webinars from concept through delivery.
• Recruit and confirm top‑tier speakers, including C‑suite executives and HR leaders from national and international brands.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, topics and potential speakers aligned with event goals.
• Coordinate speaker management, invitations, confirmations and pre‑event briefings.
• Collaborate with marketing, PR and project teams to meet deadlines and ensure event success.
• Oversee logistical elements such as scheduling, speaker materials and technical requirements.
• Produce post‑event reports evaluating performance and recommending improvements.

Required profile

• Relevant degree; a diploma in events or conferencing is advantageous.
• 3‑5 years of commercial conference production experience with a focus on speaker acquisition.
• Proven track record securing high‑profile C‑suite and HR speakers for national and international events.
• Experience with companies like Marcus Evans Group, IQPC, Informa, Reed or Clarion Events is preferred.
• International experience, especially within the African market, is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Strong project management ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for speaker invitations and event materials.
• Understanding of marketing and PR as they relate to conference promotion.
