Computer Vision, IoT and Embedded Systems Engineer

About the role

Seismic is seeking an engineer with strong production experience across computer vision, IoT sensor integration, and embedded systems. This role owns the intelligence layer that runs on edge devices in the field, ensuring AI models perform accurately on resource‑constrained hardware and that sensor networks integrate reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, fine‑tune, and deploy object detection and classification models using frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Optimise model inference for edge hardware, applying TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, quantisation and pruning techniques.
• Configure and maintain Nvidia Jetson devices (JetPack, DeepStream, CUDA) for reliable AI inference.
• Integrate IoT sensors (PIR, magnetic contacts, motion detectors, tamper sensors) and manage sensor event processing and alert classification.
• Work with Embedded Linux on ARM‑based devices, handling systemd services, kernel basics and device stability.
• Integrate IP cameras via RTSP/ONVIF, supporting Dahua, Hikvision or similar ecosystems.
• Manage model lifecycle, including versioning, retraining pipelines and zero‑downtime deployments.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and deploying computer vision models on edge devices.
• Hands‑on expertise with IoT sensor integration and Embedded Linux system configuration.
