Compliance Officer

About the role

Henriken Consulting Limited is looking for a highly experienced and detail‑oriented Compliance Officer. The role ensures the organization complies with all applicable laws, regulations, industry standards and internal policies while fostering a strong culture of compliance across all entities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise management on emerging requirements.
• Develop, review and implement compliance policies, procedures and frameworks.
• Support corporate governance initiatives and promote best practices.
• Identify, assess and mitigate compliance risks; conduct periodic risk assessments.
• Maintain and enhance the organization’s compliance monitoring program.
• Oversee AML, CFT and KYC programs, monitor suspicious activities and report to authorities.
• Promote ethical conduct and adherence to the code of ethics.
• Conduct compliance reviews, coordinate audits and prepare reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA).

Required profile

• Significant experience in regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and advisory skills.
• Ability to monitor regulatory changes and communicate implications.
• Proven track record in supporting corporate governance and ethical standards.

• Data protection regulations (e.g., NDPA)
• Compliance risk assessment methodologies
