Commercial & Marketing Director – Nigeria

About the role

We are seeking a senior Commercial & Marketing Director to lead the expansion of Group Vivendi Africa (GVA) in Nigeria. Based in Lagos, you will shape and execute the commercial and marketing strategy for English‑speaking African markets, driving growth for our high‑speed internet and fibre‑to‑the‑home services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute GVA’s commercial and marketing strategy across English‑speaking Africa in line with the Group’s master plan.
• Translate corporate objectives into actionable road‑maps for subsidiaries during launch and operational phases.
• Recruit, structure, and develop B2C and B2B sales and marketing teams, providing training and performance management.
• Formalise commercial and marketing processes, tools and sales methodologies for front‑ and back‑office operations.
• Build and optimise distribution networks, drive revenue growth and strengthen brand positioning.
• Provide continuous improvement recommendations based on market performance, customer insights and competitive intelligence.

Required profile

• Proven senior experience in commercial and marketing leadership, preferably within telecom or media sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to launch and scale subsidiaries in emerging markets.
• Strong track record of building and managing cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent understanding of English‑speaking African markets.
