Collections Officer – Overdraft Recovery

About the role
PalmPay is seeking a Collections Officer to manage the recovery of outstanding overdraft balances. You will engage directly with customers, negotiate repayment plans, and ensure timely payments to minimise financial loss for the company.
Key responsibilities
- Review and maintain the company’s debtor list.
- Contact customers to inform them of overdue overdrafts.
- Advise customers on payment options and suggest suitable methods.
- Negotiate and set up payment plans that align with company policy.
- Maintain accurate records of customer payments.
- Prepare financial statements for banks and credit authorities.
- Issue final notice warnings when payments are not received.
- Initiate legal action for non‑payment where necessary.
- Respond to customer queries promptly.
- Coordinate with lawyers and insurance agencies to facilitate collections.
Required profile
- BSc, HND or ND in Accounting, Business Management or a related field.
- Age between 20 and 35 years.
- Previous experience as a Collections Officer is preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency with office software.
- Proficiency with accounting software.
