Collection Agent – Contractor (Finance)

About the role

PalmPay is seeking a motivated Collection Agent on a contract basis to support the recovery of outstanding overdrafts. You will engage directly with customers, negotiate payment arrangements, and help minimise financial losses for the company.

Key responsibilities

• Review the company debtor list and identify overdue accounts.
• Contact customers to inform them of overdue bills and discuss payment options.
• Negotiate and set up suitable payment plans.
• Maintain accurate customer payment records and prepare financial statements for banks and credit authorities.
• Issue final notice warnings and, when necessary, initiate legal action.
• Respond to customer queries and coordinate with lawyers and insurance agencies to facilitate payments.

Required profile

• BSC, HND or ND in Accounting, Business Management or a related field.
• Age between 20 and 35 years.
• Previous experience as a Collections Officer is desirable.
• Strong communication, negotiation and mathematical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
