Coiled Tubing Mechanical Technician

About the role

SLB is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician with extensive experience in coiled tubing equipment and pump systems to support field operations in Port‑Harcourt, Nigeria. The role involves hands‑on maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of critical oilfield machinery in demanding environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of coiled tubing equipment and high‑pressure fracturing well service pumps.
• Maintain and service centrifugal pumps and nitrogen pumps.
• Diagnose and repair internal combustion engines.
• Work with hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems.
• Inspect and maintain transmissions and final drives.
• Utilize CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience with coiled tubing and pump systems.
• Technical training certification (required).
