Client Relations Officer

About the role

The Client Relations Officer will serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients, ensuring smooth onboarding, compliance, and ongoing support for investment and asset‑management services. The role bridges the Finance, Internal Control and Compliance departments, handling KYC documentation, deposit confirmations and client complaints while maintaining strict adherence to CBN, SEC and AML/CFT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage KYC processes, documentation and onboarding for new clients.
• Resolve issues related to user accounts, profiles and login details.
• Act as liaison between Finance and Internal Control to confirm deposits and execute buy/sell mandates.
• Coordinate with Compliance to address client complaints.
• Maintain accurate records of all customer communications.
• Communicate with prospective and existing clients via phone and email about investment products, asset‑management services and market updates.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and billing support.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Deliver step‑by‑step guidance for technical problems, both remotely and in person.
• Ensure compliance with CBN, SEC and AML/CFT regulations in all interactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a numerically related field.
• Minimum three years of customer service experience, preferably in financial services, investment or stockbroking.
• Professional certification in Customer Service (advantageous).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Target‑driven, detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and polished appearance.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet service KPIs.
• Conflict‑resolution capability.
