Cleaner

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Cleaner to join our team at Chevan Resources Int’l Ltd. in Abuja. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all areas of the facility, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors, walls, and other surfaces.
• Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other consumables.
• Report maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Follow health, safety, and company cleaning standards.
• Perform any other cleaning‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Honest, reliable, and punctual.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts if required.

Required skills

• Operation of cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, etc.).
• Safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals.
