Civil Engineer

About the role

The Civil Engineer will lead the civil and infrastructure development of the site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality and regulatory standards. The role works closely with project managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to translate technical specifications into successful construction outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager and factory team to understand scope, technical specs, and drawings, and work with civil contractors to achieve adherence.
• Prepare detailed engineering scopes, basic costing, and project schedules; obtain budget approvals following Olam Capex governance.
• Ensure 100% compliance with Olam EHS requirements and legal/statutory obligations throughout design and execution.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across Safety, Procurement, Finance, Process, and Engineering functions to facilitate smooth project delivery.
• Oversee final hand‑over activities, including snag list resolution, sign‑off, and archiving of as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10–12 years of experience managing civil/infra industrial projects.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and handle complex stakeholder environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Project for scheduling.
• Advanced AutoCAD drafting skills.
