Chief Security Officer (CSO) – Highway/Earthworks Project

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Chief Security Officer to lead all security and risk management activities on a large‑scale highway and earthworks construction site in Oyo State, Nigeria. The CSO will protect personnel, equipment, materials and critical infrastructure while ensuring a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive site security strategies, policies and procedures.
• Oversee perimeter security, access control systems and surveillance operations across the project corridor.
• Supervise security personnel, manage shift schedules, training and performance monitoring.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments, threat analyses and incident investigations.
• Coordinate with law‑enforcement agencies (Police, NSCDC) and manage emergency and crisis response plans.
• Maintain relationships with local communities, traditional leaders and other stakeholders to support project stability.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years of experience in security management, preferably in construction or heavy‑civil engineering projects.
• Proven leadership and crisis‑management capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian security regulations and liaison with security agencies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.

What we offer

• Competitive gross monthly salary ranging from ₦220,000 to ₦480,000.
