Chef/Cook – Full-time Kitchen Position

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced chef or cook to prepare meals for daily sales and catering events at Zelos Foodhut. The role involves preparing high‑quality dishes in commercial quantities while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare meals within your area of specialization for daily sales and catering events, following recipes accurately.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, seasoning, cooking techniques, portioning, and presentation.
• Ensure high standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety, including proper storage and labeling of ingredients.
• Minimize food waste and use ingredients responsibly while keeping the workstation organized.
• Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff during busy periods and assist with stock checks.
• Meet service timelines and uphold food quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant, hotel, catering company, or professional kitchen.
• Strong expertise in Nigerian/local cuisine or continental cuisine.
• Ability to prepare meals in commercial quantities without compromising taste or quality.
• Reliable, neat, disciplined, and organized with good time‑management and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet service deadlines.
