About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chef to lead the preparation of Indian and Chinese dishes in our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both cuisines, with particular expertise in Dim Sum, and will contribute to menu innovation while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian and Chinese dishes according to menu standards.
  • Specialize in Dim Sum preparation, including steamed, fried, and baked varieties.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation for every plate.
  • Develop and suggest new menu items and seasonal specialties.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and adhere to food safety standards.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
  • Monitor food quality, minimize wastage, and control costs.
  • Train and guide junior kitchen staff as needed.
  • Ensure timely preparation and service during peak hours.

Required profile

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Indian and Chinese cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of authentic spices, sauces, and cooking techniques.
  • Expertise in Dim Sum, wok cooking, gravies, tandoor (if applicable), and appetizers.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Team player with effective communication skills.
  • Preferred experience in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
  • Culinary certification or relevant training is an added advantage.
