Chartered Accountant

About the role

The Chartered Accountant will lead financial planning, reporting and compliance for a dynamic organization in Lagos. This senior‑level position drives business performance through budgeting, variance analysis, treasury management and strategic financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets, compare actual performance, analyse variances and implement corrective actions.
• Provide analytics on portfolio and category performance to support business decisions.
• Lead M&A activities, transfer pricing and the development of accounting policies for new and existing businesses.
• Ensure timely financial reporting, MIS delivery and compliance with statutory deadlines.
• Maintain and upgrade the computerized accounting system and MIS for optimal performance.
• Establish and oversee an effective management accounting function, guiding improvement initiatives.
• Manage treasury functions, including cash‑flow forecasting, bank liaison and daily cash monitoring.
• Continuously improve processes, advise operational managers and implement cost‑management techniques.
• Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts and risk assessments to Board and JV meetings.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting and treasury management.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Experience handling M&A, transfer pricing and developing accounting policies.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure regulatory and statutory compliance.
