Cashier – Patient Billing & Payments

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Cashier to manage patient payments and billing operations at our healthcare facility in Abuja. You will be the first point of contact for patients handling cash, card, and mobile transactions while ensuring accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments for consultations, prescriptions, and lab tests.
• Prepare itemized patient bills, coordinate with the HMO desk, and verify insurance coverage and copayments.
• Count cash drawers at the start and end of each shift, reconcile receipts, and generate daily financial reports for the finance department.
• Address billing inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and deliver compassionate customer service to patients and visitors.
• Update the hospital information system (HMS) with payment details and safeguard sensitive financial and medical data.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: OND.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar cashier or billing role.
