Business Manager

About the role

The Business Manager will oversee all financial and operational functions of Riverside Schools, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day activities and high standards of service for staff, students and parents. This senior position requires strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive ownership mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve fee collection targets of at least 95% and maintain zero audit queries.
• Process PAYE, pension and other statutory payments accurately and on time.
• Ensure school buses, generators and water taps are operational; coordinate repairs within 48 hours.
• Manage vendor performance, replacing under‑performing suppliers promptly.
• Run payroll with less than 1% error and keep staff files 100% complete.
• Guarantee support staff are trained, present, and clear on their duties.
• Resolve administrative parent complaints within 24 hours, aiming for a positive experience.

Required profile

• BSc in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of finance/operations experience; school experience is a strong plus.
• ICAN or ACCA qualification underway or completed.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret balance sheets.
• Ownership mindset with professional and courteous demeanor.

• Monthly salary between NGN 400,000 and 650,000, commensurate with experience.
