Business Development Specialist – IT Services (Nigeria)

About the role

Metayb is seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive sales of its IT services across global markets, with a focus on Africa and other international regions. The role involves identifying new opportunities, building relationships with enterprise clients, and delivering revenue growth for solutions such as IoT, ERP, Cybersecurity, Application Development, and Digital Transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in Africa and other global markets.
• Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, lead generation, client engagement, solution presentation, proposal creation, negotiation, and deal closure.
• Build and maintain relationships with CXOs and key stakeholders of enterprise clients.
• Collaborate with technical and solution teams to craft customized proposals aligned with client needs.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to spot emerging technology trends.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, track opportunities in CRM, and provide regular forecasts.
• Represent Metayb in international meetings, virtual demos, and industry networking events.
• Ensure smooth hand‑over from sales to delivery for successful client engagement.

Required profile

• 4–10 years of experience in Business Development or IT services sales.
• Proven track record selling IoT, ERP, Cybersecurity, Application Development, or Digital Transformation services.
• Experience working with international clients across Africa and other regions.
• Strong lead generation, pipeline management, and deal‑closing abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
