Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will lead institutional partnerships and community development initiatives while also managing relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals to grow the organisation’s client base.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with cooperatives, churches, professional associations and community groups.
• Secure corporate partnerships and develop staff savings programmes.
• Acquire affluent professionals, conduct financial planning sessions and convert prospects into funded customers.
• Build referral partnerships and develop Wealth Champion networks to increase customer lifetime value.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales or client relationship management, preferably in banking, insurance or financial services.
• Strong analytical ability and basic finance knowledge for budgeting, forecasting and pricing support.
• Experience engaging high‑net‑worth individuals and managing long‑term client relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, marketing or related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
