Business Development Officer – HR & Consulting Services

About the role

The Business Development Officer will drive growth for Odixcity Consulting by identifying and securing new client opportunities within the human resources and consulting sectors. Reporting to senior management, the role combines prospecting, solution design, and closing activities to meet revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Research and target potential clients in HR, recruitment, and consulting markets.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closure.
• Maintain a robust pipeline and update activities in the company’s CRM system.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, pitch decks, and service agreements tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions align with client requirements.
• Represent the firm at networking events, industry round‑tables, and client meetings.
• Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a HR or consulting firm, preferably in recruitment, HR outsourcing, HR tech or management strategy.
• Proven track record in B2B business development, sales or client acquisition of professional services.
• Strong understanding of HR procurement processes, RFPs and decision‑maker roles such as CHRO, Talent Director or COO.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Required skills

What we offer

• Base remuneration of NGN100,000 per month.
• Transportation allowance of NGN20,000.
• Commission on every closed deal, with structure discussed during interview.
