Business Development Manager – Oil & Gas

About the role

Hommaston Limited is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive market expansion across Nigeria and the West African energy corridor. You will act as the commercial engine, identifying new opportunities, building institutional relationships, and positioning Hommaston as the EPCM partner of choice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a structured business development strategy targeting IOCs, NOCs, EPC contractors, and government agencies.
• Lead bid qualification, pre‑positioning, and proposal development for EPCM contracts.
• Build and sustain relationships with key decision‑makers at organisations such as NNPC, Shell, Chevron, TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil, and NLNG.
• Monitor sector intelligence, including NCDMB requirements, FID timelines, and upcoming contract awards.
• Represent Hommaston at industry events, stakeholder forums, and regulatory engagements.
• Collaborate with technical and operations teams to develop winning value propositions.
• Track and report pipeline KPIs, conversion rates, and revenue targets to executive leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of business development or commercial experience in oil & gas or EPCM.
• Strong network within Nigeria’s upstream, midstream, or downstream energy community.
• Proven track record of winning contracts in competitive tender environments.
• Familiarity with NCDMB local content regulations and Nigerian content compliance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA is an advantage).
• Based in or willing to relocate to Lagos or Port Harcourt.
