Business Development Manager

About the role

VisionSpring is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead fundraising and partnership efforts across Nigeria. Based in Lagos, you will work closely with the Country Manager and collaborate with program teams throughout Africa and global offices to secure philanthropic capital.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with corporate, government and foundation donors in Nigeria.
• Develop and submit complex grant proposals and partnership agreements.
• Support global fundraising initiatives targeting donors in the Global North.
• Coordinate with program and business development teams to align funding with project needs.
• Track fundraising pipelines, report progress and ensure compliance with donor requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in fundraising, business development or sales within the NGO/social‑enterprise sector.
• Proven track record of securing large‑scale corporate, foundation or government funding.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with donors and partners.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
