Business Development Manager – Hospitality Channels (POS Payments)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the acquisition of hotels and restaurants for our point‑of‑sale (POS) payment solutions across Nigeria. The successful candidate will leverage an existing network in the hospitality sector to drive revenue growth through direct sales and strategic channel partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage decision‑makers in hotels (GMs, finance directors, owners) and restaurants (managers, owners, F&B directors) to generate new business.
• Negotiate and close agreements to install POS terminals and enable our payment‑as‑a‑service offering.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline covering Lagos, Abuja and other key cities.
• Develop channel partnerships with hotel management companies, restaurant associations and procurement agencies.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals and product demonstrations.
• Monitor merchant performance and provide market feedback and competitive intelligence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of B2B sales or business development experience in Nigeria’s hotel or restaurant sector.
• Proven track record of onboarding at least 20 hospitality establishments and managing ₦800 million+ annual transaction volume.
• Established network of hotel owners/GMs and restaurant operators in Lagos, Abuja and other major cities.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines under pressure and maintain a goal‑oriented mindset.
• High level of professionalism, integrity and accountability.
