Business Development Assistant

About the role

Routrix Africa Ltd is seeking a proactive Business Development Assistant to support its growth initiatives across Nigeria and other African markets. The role involves identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities while working closely with management.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the company and its clients.
• Research and generate leads among potential clients, distributors, manufacturers, retailers, and strategic partners.
• Conduct sales prospecting via calls, emails, WhatsApp, field visits, and other channels.
• Gather market intelligence on competitors, customer needs, and industry trends.
• Maintain professional relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, sales reports, and follow‑up communications.
• Manage a prospect database, track opportunities, and provide regular progress reports.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in sales or business development.
• Residency in Ikorodu, Lagos State, with ability to work on‑site.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Results‑oriented mindset with proven ability to generate and follow up leads.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with WhatsApp Business and other digital prospecting tools.
