Business Control & Inventory Manager

About the role

The Business Control & Inventory Manager will oversee inventory, supply‑chain, procurement and finance operations across all warehouses and experience centres. The role ensures accurate inventory records, identifies operational risks and drives corrective actions to protect company assets and improve efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain oversight of inventory in all stock‑holding locations.
• Ensure physical stock reconciles with ERP, warehouse and finance records.
• Conduct scheduled and surprise stock counts and investigate material variances.
• Review goods received, releases, transfers, returns, damages, shortages and adjustments.
• Track SKU‑level movements and prevent unauthorized releases.
• Analyse inventory ageing to flag slow‑moving or obsolete stock.
• Monitor compliance with SOPs and approval processes.
• Identify control gaps, wastage, duplication and other business risks.
• Verify supporting documentation for significant transactions.
• Collaborate with Finance on valuation, reconciliation and variance investigation.
• Review warehouse controls, segregation of duties and accountability.
• Develop periodic Business Control & Inventory reports highlighting exceptions and recommended actions.
• Escalate significant breaches, suspected fraud or unexplained losses to management.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in FMCG, wines & spirits, distribution, manufacturing or other high‑volume inventory environments.
• Proven background in business control, inventory control, internal audit or operational risk management.
