Bids & Tender Specialist / Business Development Officer

About the role

The role supports the company's growth by identifying tender opportunities, managing end‑to‑end bid submissions, and driving business development activities. The specialist works closely with internal teams and external clients to ensure high‑quality proposals that align with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor public and private procurement portals to identify relevant tender opportunities.
• Coordinate the preparation, compilation, and timely submission of technical and commercial proposals.
• Maintain a tender database, submission calendar, and bid tracking reports.
• Liaise with internal departments to gather required documentation, certifications, and supporting information.
• Review tender documents for compliance with eligibility and submission guidelines.
• Support business development by researching markets, preparing capability statements, and building client relationships.
• Develop high‑quality proposals, expressions of interest, and presentations that follow company branding.
• Provide regular reports on opportunities, pipeline status, and bid outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Procurement, Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in bids, tenders, proposals, procurement support, or business development.
• Proven ability to manage multiple bid processes simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
