Batcher / Volumetric Machine Operator – Lagos

About the role

We are looking for a Batcher / Volumetric Machine Operator to join our concrete production plant in Lekki, Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the plant’s computer systems, ensuring safety compliance and delivering ready‑mixed concrete that meets customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full compliance with plant safety standards and conduct regular VFL inspections.
• Create daily customer orders in the LOGON system and manage dispatch sheets.
• Operate the BCMIX plant computer system to produce ready‑mixed concrete and perform daily and monthly production closures.
• Coordinate with Sales Representatives and customers to confirm order details, delivery frequency and timing.
• Verify that concrete volume and grade meet customer requirements before dispatch.
• Carry out daily plant checks on mixers, conveyors and related equipment, and follow startup procedures.
• Report any customer complaints or non‑conformities to plant or quality personnel for follow‑up.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Plant and Production Coordinator.

Required profile

• Full‑time availability for plant operations in Lagos.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and ability to conduct VFL inspections.
• Experience with plant computer systems and production documentation.
• Good coordination skills to work with sales teams and customers.
• Willingness to follow standard operating procedures and report issues promptly.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using BCMIX software.
• Proficiency in using LOGON system for order creation.
• Knowledge of ready‑mixed concrete production processes.
• Ability to perform visual facility inspections (VFL).
• Familiarity with plant equipment such as mixers and conveyors.
