Automobile Technician

About the role

The Automobile Technician will diagnose, maintain, and repair a variety of vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workshop standards. The role requires technical competence, efficiency, and a commitment to delivering quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, steering systems, and electrical components.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs and servicing on cars, SUVs, and light‑duty vehicles.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and ensure accurate fixes.
• Conduct test drives and quality checks before completing jobs.
• Carry out periodic maintenance and inspections according to schedules.
• Identify worn or defective parts and recommend replacements.
• Update job cards and service reports accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.
• Collaborate with service advisors and the parts department to ensure efficient workflow.
• Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum Trade Test Certification (Grade I, II, or III) in Mechanical or Electrical Auto Work.
• At least 3 years of practical experience in automotive repairs and diagnostics.
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and workshop procedures.
• Experience with Mercedes, Toyota, and Ford vehicles is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals and repair instructions.
• Good teamwork, communication, and time‑management skills.
