Automation Product Support Engineer – Lagos

About the role

The Automation Product Support Engineer will ensure operational follow‑up and technical support for all automation equipment throughout the machine life cycle. You will assist internal teams (FSE, PM, CCM, ASM) and external customers via email, telephone, RAC, RVA and onsite visits, while preparing and distributing troubleshooting documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the Contact Center ticketing system and provide solutions to external customers and Field Service Engineers on palletizer equipment.
• Deliver daily telephone and email support for automation and basic mechanical issues to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage non‑conformities and warranty costs using the SINCRO tool.
• Support Field Service Engineers during new project installations and service site executions.
• Apply Root Cause Analysis methodology, collect data and drive preventive/corrective actions.
• Report field issues and engineering modification requests to the Product Group.
• Secure retrofit applications on the installed equipment base.
• Contribute to spare‑parts support, training, maintenance opportunities and line improvements.
• Travel onsite or coordinate expert interventions for complex troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of technical assistance or field experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical fundamentals (safety equipment, sensors, motion, servo drivers, inverters).
• Familiarity with beverage technology (aseptic and non‑aseptic).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Ability to manage and satisfy customer requests.
• Fluent English; local languages a plus.

• PLC platforms: Siemens S7, Siemens TIA Portal, B&R, Rockwell Automation, Elau.
• HMI systems: Zenon, Citect.
• Motion control platforms: Danfoss, Elau.
• Electrical safety equipment, sensors, motion control, servo drivers, inverters.
• Root Cause Analysis methodology.
• SINCRO tool for non‑conformity and warranty management.
