Audit Assurance Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Assurance Analyst to join our Audit & Assurance team. This position is ideal for early‑ to mid‑career professionals who enjoy evaluating financial and operational information, ensuring compliance with standards, and delivering high‑quality insights to clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of assurance and audit engagements under the supervision of senior team members.
• Support planning and risk‑assessment activities for each engagement.
• Perform testing of internal controls, substantive procedures, and analytical reviews.
• Gather, analyse, and interpret financial data to identify discrepancies and irregularities.
• Prepare clear, well‑documented work papers that support audit findings and conclusions.
• Communicate effectively with team members and client representatives to gather information and clarify findings.
• Ensure all tasks comply with relevant auditing standards and internal methodologies.
• Stay up to date with changes in accounting and assurance standards.
• Support the preparation of client deliverables, reports, and presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in assurance, audit, or a related area (including internships).
• Progress towards or possession of a professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS, GAAP).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of discretion.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with audit software tools such as CaseWare, ACL or IDEA.
