Associate Medical Officer

About the role

Reliance Health is seeking an Associate Medical Officer to join its Reliance Family Clinic team in Abuja. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality primary care, counseling patients of all ages, and supporting innovative health‑service initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care: examine patients, order tests, create treatment plans, write notes and prescriptions.
• Educate and counsel patients on health conditions, medication use, and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists and other clinicians to ensure seamless patient care and share referrals.
• Contribute to clinic performance tracking, community health checks, and data collection for improvement plans.

Required profile

• MBBS or MBChB (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• 0‑1 year post‑NYSC experience with a valid MDCN license.
• Completed NYSC with discharge certificate or exemption.
• Residence within 10 km of the assigned clinic.

Required skills

• Familiarity with digital health tools or EMR systems (highly valuable).
• Ability to communicate health information in plain language.
