Assistant Manager – Supply Chain Operations

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Supply Chain Operations will support the execution, supervision, and continuous improvement of supply chain activities across multiple business units of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc. Reporting to the Group Head of Supply Chain Capability & Excellence, the role focuses on aligning operations with standardized frameworks and driving efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day supply chain functions including planning, procurement, warehousing, and distribution across several sites.
• Ensure compliance with established supply chain processes, policies, and governance structures.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators such as service levels, inventory turnover, order fulfilment and cost efficiency.
• Prepare regular performance reports and dashboards for senior management.
• Identify performance gaps, trends and improvement opportunities, and recommend actionable solutions.
• Support the rollout and enforcement of standardized supply chain systems and processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to pinpoint inefficiencies and implement process enhancements.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in supply chain operations, preferably within a multi‑site FMCG environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of end‑to‑end supply chain functions (planning, procurement, warehousing, distribution).
• Proven ability to supervise operations and drive efficiency across multiple locations.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting data and tracking KPIs.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
