Assistant Manager – Internal Audit

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Internal Audit will join the internal audit team of Seven Up Bottling Company Limited in Lagos. This position involves executing audit assignments, collaborating with process owners, and supporting the Chief Audit Officer in delivering high‑quality audit reports.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out financial, operational and risk‑assessment audits, both as a team member and when leading specific reviews.
• Discuss audit findings with process owners and department heads, draft recommendations and support finalisation of audit reports.
• Prepare work papers, risk matrices and documentation that meet professional internal‑audit standards.
• Verify compliance with company policies across financial, operational and compliance areas.
• Identify potential revenue leakage, assess asset accountability and evaluate the reliability of internal controls.
• Assist in developing internal‑control frameworks and support fraud‑investigation activities as directed by the CAO.
• Support the Head of Internal Audit in planning, coordination and execution of audit programmes.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in internal audit or financial audit within a manufacturing or consumer‑goods environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess processes, identify risks and propose actionable improvements.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with senior stakeholders and presenting audit findings.
