Assistant Lead – Project Implementation

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Lead to support the design, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the Primary Health Care (PHC) Program that integrates primary eye care into government health systems in Nigeria. Based in Kwara, you will work closely with government agencies, development partners and the VisionSpring team to expand access to affordable eyeglasses for low‑income communities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Program Manager and Country Manager in planning and executing PHC activities.
• Coordinate field implementation, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Monitor project performance, collect data and produce regular reports for stakeholders.
• Identify challenges in the field and develop contingency plans (Plan B) to keep the program on track.
• Engage and communicate with partners, government officials and community leaders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support evaluation activities to capture lessons learned and inform future program improvements.
