About the role
We are looking for an Aqua Technical Officer to manage our aquaculture operations and ensure the health and growth of our aquatic species. The role involves maintaining optimal water quality, overseeing technical aspects of fish farming or hatchery, and operating essential equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day aquaculture operations and monitor the health, behavior, and growth of fish and other aquatic species.
- Maintain water quality by conducting regular tests and adjusting parameters as needed.
- Operate, service and maintain pumps, water filters, oxygenation systems and other aquaculture equipment.
- Ensure proper feeding regimes and diet management for all species.
- Clean and maintain aquatic habitats, including tanks and ponds.
Required profile
- Minimum HND qualification.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar aquaculture or fish‑farm technical role.
