Agronomist - Vegetable Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Agronomist specialized in vegetable production to join our team in Ibadan. The role focuses on improving soil health, optimizing irrigation, and enhancing overall crop performance for sustainable vegetable farming.

Key responsibilities

• Apply strong knowledge of soil science, agriculture, and plant nutrition to support vegetable crops.
• Design, implement, and manage irrigation techniques and systems.
• Conduct research, analyze results, and apply findings to improve farming practices.
• Solve complex agronomic problems using analytical skills.
• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to team members and stakeholders.
• Supervise and manage day‑to‑day farming operations.
• Collaborate independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years (36 months) experience in a similar agronomic role, preferably within vegetable farming.
• Mid‑level professional with proven ability to lead and supervise farming activities.
