Agreement Manager – Plant Operations

About the role

Wärtsilä is seeking an Agreement Manager for its plant in Ewekoro, Nigeria. The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term position (extendable) responsible for overseeing plant performance, ensuring contractual commitments are met and delivering value to customers and the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall service delivery at the customer plant to achieve commercial and operational targets.
• Lead the plant organization, ensuring safe, effective maintenance and operations in line with contract requirements.
• Develop and supervise plant personnel, set objectives, monitor performance and provide technical guidance.
• Be accountable for commercial and operational performance against contractual obligations.
• Drive continuous improvement of plant processes and performance metrics.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders, aligning expectations with contractual terms.
• Oversee plant budget and resources, ensuring financial and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in power‑plant operations and maintenance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of financial terms and budgeting.
• Proven experience in customer relations and contract management.
• Experience managing a multi‑engine Wärtsilä gas‑engine plant, preferably as plant manager.
