African Cyber Assurance Senior Partner – GRC & Regulatory

About the role

dLocal is seeking a senior partner to lead cyber assurance, governance, risk and compliance (GRC) across Africa. Based in Nigeria, you will act as the bridge between African regulators and the company’s security operations, ensuring that dLocal meets both local and global regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other African financial authorities.
• Provide hands‑on support for international regulations such as SOX and DORA, and global standards like PCI DSS, ISO and SOC.
• Translate regulatory requirements into clear, actionable technical and business processes for internal teams.
• Audit and adapt technology and processes to fit African market realities, delivering training where needed.
• Monitor emerging regulatory trends across the continent and advise the security leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in GRC or regulatory compliance within the fintech or payments sector.
• Deep understanding of African financial regulations, especially those of the CBN.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex requirements in plain language.
• Self‑driven, pragmatic mindset with the ability to work across technical and business teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SOX, DORA, PCI DSS, ISO and SOC frameworks.
• Experience interpreting and implementing regulator‑driven security controls.
