Accounts Receivable Officer

About the role

Join BIC World’s finance team as an Accounts Receivable Officer. You will be responsible for managing credit risk, ensuring timely collections, and supporting the company’s cash‑flow objectives across its global brand portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain credit control policies aligned with company objectives.
• Set and review customer credit limits based on creditworthiness assessments and required guarantees.
• Conduct weekly reviews of historic credit accounts, reconcile ledgers, and manage write‑offs, unallocated cash and duplicate accounts.
• Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection and maintain adequate cash flow.
• Perform regular credit checks and risk analyses to decide on extending or withholding credit.
• Track and report Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) monthly and prepare regional debt‑ageing reports.
• Negotiate repayment plans for overdue accounts and escalate unresolved issues to Finance Manager or Legal.
• Prepare and distribute weekly ageing analysis reports to sales, finance and other stakeholders.
• Reconcile customer accounts, resolve payment discrepancies and ensure ledger accuracy.
• Liaise with Sales, Finance and Legal teams to manage credit exposure and enforce agreements.
• Ensure compliance with company credit policies, IFRS standards and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a busy finance department.
• Experience in FMCG is an advantage.
• Strong compliance mindset and ability to monitor expenditures and variances.
• Effective time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive attitude with initiative and strong communication skills.
